In Schengen nations, seasonal farming refers to short-term agricultural and horticultural tasks, such as harvesting fruits and vegetables or caring for crops, that are associated with a particular season and marked by a high demand for labor.  To work in these areas within a Schengen country, non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals need a special visa or residency permission, usually a Schengen visa for short-term visits or a particular seasonal work permit for longer periods.
