On construction sites, a construction worker does manual labor, which includes helping experienced craftsmen, clearing debris, mixing and pouring building materials, and using tools and equipment to create, fix, or demolish structures.  They may run heavy machinery or specialize in construction, but they also need to be physically fit, coordinated, and able to follow directions.
